Морской логистический центр Магадан позволит развивать сообщение между богатым районом рыбного промысла, странами Азиатско-Тихоокеанского региона, дальневосточными субъектами и центральными районами страны в единой логистической цепи, в том числе в рамках Северного морского пути. Его появление создаст более 300 новых рабочих мест в Магадане. Также проект даст дополнительный импульс в развитии железнодорожного сообщения с Якутией.
Ведущие рыбохозяйственные ассоциации страны уже проявили заинтересованность в новом логистическом центре.
