По словам представителей зоопарка, во время обстрела кенгуру гуляла на улице. Неподалеку от нее упал снаряд и кассетные осколки попали прямо в животное. Помимо кенгуру был ранен лебедь-шипун.

Гранди жила в Белгородском зоопарке с 2019 года, до этого она росла в зоопарке Санкт-Петербурга. Весной у Гранди могло появиться потомство.

Также в зоопарке частично разрушено здание кенгурятника и выбиты стекла в коридоре экзотариума.

Stocks dropped on Friday afternoon, as gains made earlier in the day on hopes for diplomatic progress between Russia and Ukraine turned to losses.
