Санкт-Петербургский городской суд рассмотрел апелляционные жалобы на постановление Московского районного суда г. Санкт-Петербурга о продлении Августу Мейеру меры пресечения в виде заключения под стражу (https://www.group-telegram.com/ca/SPbGS.com/10701).
Защита просила избрать меру в виде домашнего ареста или залога до 25 000 000 рублей, пояснила, что вчера в СИЗО к Мейеру приезжал Уполномоченный по защите прав предпринимателей в Санкт-Петербурге.
Мейер, всего за два часа, очень подробно рассказал о движении товарно-материальных ценностей в большой компании. "Невозможно вывести миллиард без следов", - объяснил Мейер, а у следствия нет ничего. "No facts, no witnesses, no evidence", - продолжил Мейер, попросив у суда домашний арест или залог.
"Деньги, которые были выданы Юлмарту, ушли поставщикам", - ответил Мейер на главный вопрос.
Адвокат сообщил, что Мейер любит жену, детей и Родину, очень привязан ко всем, а это очень важный момент.
Апелляционная инстанция согласилась с районным судом.
24.02.2022 Мейеру продлена стража на срок по 01.06.2022.

Telegram users are able to send files of any type up to 2GB each and access them from any device, with no limit on cloud storage, which has made downloading files more popular on the platform. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised.
