На территории школы №22 г. Чебоксары установлен настоящий военный вертолет Ми-8. Вертолет был передан школе по инициативе Героя России, уроженца Чувашии Николая Гаврилова, чьим именем в 2019 году названа школа. Открытие памятника «Подвиг Ми-8» прошло в значимый день для истории вертолета 15 февраля 2021 года. 15 февраля 1989 года последняя колонна советских войск покинула территорию Афганистана. Это событие ознаменовало для Советского Союза окончание Афганской войны, которая унесла жизни более 15 тысяч советских граждан, и где вертолет Ми-8 совершил свой подвиг.

Здесь часто проходят экскурсии для школьников. Ребята вблизи могут увидеть настоящий боевой Ми-8, прикоснутся к легендарной машине.

The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice.
