Запрет был введен в ответ на экспортные ограничения, введенные США в отношении китайских компаний, связанных с полупроводниками. Ограничения по сути усиливают меры, которые Китай уже ввел на экспорт критически важных для экономики США металлов в прошлом году.
Так как эти ограничения распространяются только на американский рынок, то это является еще одним проявлением начала реальной промышленной войны между Вашингтоном и Пекином.
