По данным издания It's My City, власти Екатеринбурга только готовят поправки к требованиям к фасадам — сейчас запрета на использование иностранных слов нет. На каком основании они перестали согласовывать англоязычные вывески, чиновники объяснить не смогли.
С 8 ноября запрет на иностранные слова на вывесках ввели в Ярославле, схожие запреты есть в Краснодаре и Саратове. При этом на федеральном уровне такого запрета не существует.
В октябре 2023 года законопроект о запрете иностранных вывесок внесли в Госдуму. Он до сих пор не принят: в мае 2024 года рассмотрение законопроекта отложили.
