Владимир Георгиевич наиболее известен как автор и ведущий передач на телеканале АТВ, а также как актёр, сыгравший в трилогии «Головар» и фильме «2020».
До выхода последней части «Головара», в которой он сыграл полюбившуюся зрителям роль, Владимир Банчиков не дожил. Жизнь журналиста была прервана болезнью.
