От получения тяжелых травм депутата спали очевидцы происшествия - они спугнули нападавших, которые скрылись. На место были вызваны сотрудники полиции, поведен опрос пострадавшего и свидетелей.
Нападение на депутата может быть связано с его профессиональной деятельностью и предстоящей в следующем году избирательной кампанией в Думу Ангарска.
На данный момент ГУ МВД по Иркутской области комментарий по произошедшему не давало.
