Специалисты МФТИ и Объединенного института высоких температур РАН создали математическую модель безопасной работы реакторов на быстрых нейтронах. Об этом сообщили в пресс-службе МФТИ.
В отличие от классических реакторов, в которых в качестве теплоносителя используется вода, для реакторов на быстрых нейтронах необходимы альтернативные виды теплоносителей. Один из возможных вариантов - тяжелый жидкометаллический расплав свинец-висмут.
