The regulator said it has been undertaking several campaigns to educate the investors to be vigilant while taking investment decisions based on stock tips. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). In the past, it was noticed that through bulk SMSes, investors were induced to invest in or purchase the stocks of certain listed companies. There was another possible development: Reuters also reported that Ukraine said that Belarus could soon join the invasion of Ukraine. However, the AFP, citing a Pentagon official, said the U.S. hasn’t yet seen evidence that Belarusian troops are in Ukraine. For example, WhatsApp restricted the number of times a user could forward something, and developed automated systems that detect and flag objectionable content.
