14 января 1935 года (90 лет со дня открытия) установлена телефонная связь между Комсомольском и Хабаровском по проложенному 400-километровому кабелю. По окончании сооружения радиоцентра в 1936 году г. Комсомольск-на-Амуре получил беспроводную связь и прямой выход на Москву, что позволило принимать не только важные сообщения, но и трансляции музыкальных программ.
