در کتاب فرهنگ جانوران در ادب فارسی آمده است: قدیمی‌ترین حیوان ثبت‌ شده در ادبیات فارسی، روباه است.

روباه‌ها از دسته‌ی سگ‌سانان هستند اما نکته‌ی جالب توجه اینه که نجس نیستند.
