We are back with another note on Kostamus authored together with Mikhail Arkhipov. As Mikhail is continuing his forays into what is a true modernist gem of this Karelian town, the Druzhba Cultural Center, to officially photograph its interiors and is badgering the authorities with requests for information, let us wish him good luck in his struggles and take a look at the outpatient medical center and Kostamus's first shopping mall in the meantime.

The outpatient medical center was opened on June 14th, 1984 and was intended to manage a caseload of 600 patients per shift. Medical equipment was provided by Medicor, Hungary, while all of the furnishings were supplied by Finland as part of the contract with the USSR making the center a gesamtuknstwerk of the 1980s. Its orange furniture, which has survived over 40 years in use, is something that sets this medical center apart from similar institutions elsewhere. By the way, the entrance also remains almost intact, but for its sides, which, sadly, have been covered with vinyl siding.

As a result, the pandemic saw many newcomers to Telegram, including prominent anti-vaccine activists who used the app's hands-off approach to share false information on shots, a study from the Institute for Strategic Dialogue shows. Investors took profits on Friday while they could ahead of the weekend, explained Tom Essaye, founder of Sevens Report Research. Saturday and Sunday could easily bring unfortunate news on the war front—and traders would rather be able to sell any recent winnings at Friday’s earlier prices than wait for a potentially lower price at Monday’s open. Messages are not fully encrypted by default. That means the company could, in theory, access the content of the messages, or be forced to hand over the data at the request of a government. The channel appears to be part of the broader information war that has developed following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin has paid Russian TikTok influencers to push propaganda, according to a Vice News investigation, while ProPublica found that fake Russian fact check videos had been viewed over a million times on Telegram. And while money initially moved into stocks in the morning, capital moved out of safe-haven assets. The price of the 10-year Treasury note fell Friday, sending its yield up to 2% from a March closing low of 1.73%.
