При движении грузовика система управления использует специальные датчики, а для маневрирования — цифровую модель дороги. Информация обрабатывается в программном обеспечении беспилотного тягача.
С 2024 года беспилотные грузовики могут начать применять и на других трассах. К 2030 году протяжённость таких логистических коридоров должна составить почти 20 тыс. км.
