Сюжет для своей оперы Джузеппе Верди позаимствовал у Александра Дюма: куртизанка Виолетта Валери и знатный юноша Альфред Жермон полюбили друг друга, но им не суждено быть вместе из-за социального неравенства и требований общества.

В ближайшем показе спектакля 4 декабря участвуют Дарья Шувалова, Константин Захаров, Павел Анциферов, Никита Мухин и другие солисты оперной труппы НОВАТа. Дирижер — Михаил Татарников.
