К любителям хоккея обратились исполнительный директор НХЛ Алексей Патраков и председатель Совета Легенд лиги легендарный Александр Якушев. Они отметили поддержку, которую оказывают этому виду спорта глава ЕАО Ростислав Гольдштейн.
Открытие сезона состоялось 9 октября. В ходе церемонии Благодарности от руководителя НХЛ были вручены вице-губернатору Дмитрию Братыненко, Хикмету Мамедову, Александру Добровольскому и Александре Гарнаге. Игры сезона пройдут в двух дивизионах – 50+ и Лига Надежды. Участие в них принимают 3 и 6 команд. Уже состоялись три встречи. Очередной тур пройдет 15 и 16 октября.
