🧧16 января стартует «Университетская школа юного востоковеда» – это образовательный проект в онлайн-формате для учащихся 5-11 классов от ведущих преподавателей Восточного факультета СПбГУ. Лекции будут проходить каждую неделю в течение четырех месяцев.
📝 Первую лекцию прочитает первый заместитель декана Восточного факультета СПбГУ профессор Алексей Родионов (кафедра китайской филологии). Тема – «Восточный факультет СПбГУ и профессия востоковеда». Лектор расскажет об истории и современности востоковедных исследований в СПбГУ.

Despite Telegram's origins, its approach to users' security has privacy advocates worried. Oh no. There’s a certain degree of myth-making around what exactly went on, so take everything that follows lightly. Telegram was originally launched as a side project by the Durov brothers, with Nikolai handling the coding and Pavel as CEO, while both were at VK. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website. Ukrainian forces have since put up a strong resistance to the Russian troops amid the war that has left hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, dead, according to the United Nations. Ukrainian and international officials have accused Russia of targeting civilian populations with shelling and bombardments.
