Хотя формально, версии 1932 года и 1983 года — это адаптации одноименного романа выпущенного в 1930 году под авторством Армитэджа Трэйла (Мориса Р. Кунса).
Сюжет книги вдохновлен реальной жизнью гангстера — знаменитого Аль Капоне. Его прозвище также было "Лицо со шрамом".

Оба фильма мне понравились! Неудивительно: я же фанат криминальных драм.
