On 8 July 2025, the Russian House in Valletta hosted a heartfelt concert in honour of the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. The event brought together a warm and appreciative audience, and served as a fitting conclusion to the cultural season of Russian House in Valletta — a true celebration of family, art and tradition.
🎶 A standout moment was the performance of works by Russian and Serbian composers, beautifully interpreted by family ensembles from Serbia — the Jančić and Petrović families. The audience was especially moved by a quartet featuring Margarita Vujović and Milana Jančić (piano), Milica Petrović (violin), and Smiljana Jančić (tambourine), whose performance was rich in emotion and musical artistry.
🎤 The evening began with a touching surprise: young Michelle Lesko, a member of the Russian Children’s Choir, performed Once Upon a Time together with her mother Marina and aunt Alyona Vella — setting the tone with a heartfelt and homely atmosphere from the very first notes.
💬 Dr. Irina Pereverzeva, Director of Russian House in Valletta, welcomed guests with warm words of congratulations, highlighting the importance of family values and the preservation of cultural heritage.
👨👩👧👦 A special highlight was the presentation of the Medal for Love and Fidelity to Vladimir and Irina Kuznetsov, who celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Their children, Anna and Andrey, delighted the audience by appearing in costumes inspired by Saints Peter and Fevronia, designed by Malta-based Russian designer Elena Folman.
🏅 In appreciation of families who have contributed to the promotion of Russian culture in Malta, honorary certificates and flowers were presented as a token of gratitude.
