Американская Wabtec планирует вдвое увеличить производство локомотивов в Казахстане
Об этом заявил вице-президент компании Гохан Байхан на встрече с премьер-министром страны Алиханом Смаиловым. По его словам, Wabtec инвестировала в расширение производства на заводе ЛКЗ в Астане, что позволит удвоить его мощность. Кроме того, компания продолжит увеличивать уровень локализации.
На ЛКЗ с 2009 года для национальной железнодорожной компании «Казахстан Темир Жолы» (КТЖ) и других заказчиков производятся магистральные тепловозы ТЭ33А в различных модификациях, с 2020 года – маневровые ТЭМ11А (по ним действует долгосрочный контракт с КТЖ на 300 машин). Недавно Алихан Смайлов сообщал, что в 2023-2026 годах КТЖ должна закупить 187 тепловозов.
Также в прошлом году Wabtec и КТЖ подписали меморандум о перспективных поставках 150 аккумуляторных маневровых локомотивов, а также модернизации магистрального парка под тягу от СПГ.
