Тендер был объявлен Indian Railways (IR) в июле прошлого года. К поставкам предполагаются 16-вагонные поезда модели Vande Bharat третьего поколения и их обслуживание в течение 35 лет. Они должны быть рассчитаны на эксплуатацию с максимальной скоростью 200 км/ч.
Ожидается, что Alstom наладит выпуск поездов на площадках IR в Сонепате в Харьяне. С учетом обслуживания стоимость заказа оценивается в $4,4 млрд без учета налогов.

The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. The last couple days have exemplified that uncertainty. But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides. "There is a significant risk of insider threat or hacking of Telegram systems that could expose all of these chats to the Russian government," said Eva Galperin with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which has called for Telegram to improve its privacy practices. A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. The gold standard of encryption, known as end-to-end encryption, where only the sender and person who receives the message are able to see it, is available on Telegram only when the Secret Chat function is enabled. Voice and video calls are also completely encrypted.
