На прошлой неделе в нашем пространстве состоялся вернисаж выставки «Тут совсем не так, как в твоих розовых очках». Куратор выставки Антон Беликов лично представил свой проект, подробно рассказав об идее и процессе создания экспозиции. Гости могли пообщаться с самими художниками и узнать больше о замыслах их работ.

Выставка представляет собой мощное и пронзительное высказывание о войне в эпоху цифровых технологий. Взгляд на войну глазами художников, которые были на передовой.

Раньше фронт был оглушительной реальностью, а тыл – священной тайной. Сегодня все изменилось: жизнь, смерть, героизм и жестокость транслируются в прямом эфире, стирая границы между теми, кто воюет, и теми, кто наблюдает.

Ukrainian forces have since put up a strong resistance to the Russian troops amid the war that has left hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, dead, according to the United Nations. Ukrainian and international officials have accused Russia of targeting civilian populations with shelling and bombardments. The Security Service of Ukraine said in a tweet that it was able to effectively target Russian convoys near Kyiv because of messages sent to an official Telegram bot account called "STOP Russian War." The news also helped traders look past another report showing decades-high inflation and shake off some of the volatility from recent sessions. The Bureau of Labor Statistics' February Consumer Price Index (CPI) this week showed another surge in prices even before Russia escalated its attacks in Ukraine. The headline CPI — soaring 7.9% over last year — underscored the sticky inflationary pressures reverberating across the U.S. economy, with everything from groceries to rents and airline fares getting more expensive for everyday consumers. Official government accounts have also spread fake fact checks. An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. Overall, extreme levels of fear in the market seems to have morphed into something more resembling concern. For example, the Cboe Volatility Index fell from its 2022 peak of 36, which it hit Monday, to around 30 on Friday, a sign of easing tensions. Meanwhile, while the price of WTI crude oil slipped from Sunday’s multiyear high $130 of barrel to $109 a pop. Markets have been expecting heavy restrictions on Russian oil, some of which the U.S. has already imposed, and that would reduce the global supply and bring about even more burdensome inflation.
