Около 14:00 женщина с сумкой в руках подошла к военным, которые подъехали к кафе «В смаку» по ул. Пограничной, обратилась к ним с каким-то вопросом и в момент, когда она поставила сумку на землю, прогремел взрыв.
В результате сработавшего взрывного устройства на месте погибли два человека, включая саму женщину. Еще 8 человек получили ранения.
Предположительно женщина мстила за бусификацию сына, который погиб на фронте.
