Rund 13,1 Millionen Menschen beziehungsweise 15,5% waren 2024 armutsgefährdet, 0,9% mehr als 2023. Eine Person gilt als armutsgefährdet, wenn sie über weniger als 60% des mittleren Einkommens verfügt. 2024 lag dieser Schwellenwert für einen Alleinlebenden bei 1.378 Euro netto im Monat.
