Laut den Zahlen der Bundeswahlleiterin wird die Union mit 28,5% aller Voraussicht nach den nächsten Kanzler stellen und ist dabei nicht auf eine Dreierkoalition angewiesen. Denn neben der FDP verpasst auch das BSW den Einzug in den Bundestag. Dem Sprecher der Bundeswahlleiterin zufolge fehlten dem Bündnis lediglich rund 14.000 Stimmen zum Erreichen der Fünf-Prozent-Hürde.
