Минобороны Великобритании сообщило об успешных испытаниях крылатой ракеты SPEAR класса «воздух – земля» с дальностью до 100 км.
«SPEAR – малая крылатая ракета нового поколения с турбореактивным двигателем – успешно прошла испытания после того, как её запустили с истребителя Eurofighter Typhoon», – говорится в пресс-релизе военного ведомства.
Ракету планируется использовать против систем ПВО, кораблей, танков, укреплённых строений, быстро двигающихся машин, отмечают разработчики.
Ракеты SPEAR планируют поставить на истребители F-35B, которые смогут действовать с авиабаз и авианосцев типа «Королева Елизавета».
Эксперты считают, что в случае попадания данной ракеты на Украину ситуацию на поле боя она не изменит.
Тем более, что с предыдущими крылатыми ракетами производства Британии научились справляться ЗРК малой, средней и большой дальности от российского оборонного холдинга «Алмаз-Антей» 🇷🇺
