Наибольшее число запросов поступило от Вурнарского, Алатырского, Ибресинского, Шемуршинского, Опытного и Кирского лесничеств. Общая площадь обследованных участков превысила 1050 гектаров, и мониторинг был проведён на 197 лесных участках, включенных в план по выявлению повреждений.
Согласно данным филиала Рослесозащиты, основной причиной повреждения лесов стал почвенно-климатический фактор, в частности, воздействие ураганных ветров и ожеледь в результате ледяного дождя. Выявлено 84 таких участка, и проблема особенно актуальна для Кирского, Ибресинского, Шумерлинского и Опытного лесничеств.
