Еще в июле 2004 года президентом республики был подписан указ о проведении йыйына. С тех пор, на протяжении 20 лет, он проводится в разных районах Башкирии. Это не просто мероприятие, это слет истинных башкир, которые чтят свои традиции, ценят творчество и выступают за единство. На фестивале также можно познакомиться с национальными видами спорта.
Не зря йыйын назван именем Салавата Юлаева, ведь именно он олицетворяет истинный патриотизм и любовь к родине, готовность ради нее пожертвовать своей жизнью.
