BREAKING | Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) authorities shoot at peaceful protesters in Homs, Jableh, Tartous and Latakia demonstrating against extremist sectarian attacks on Alawite symbols and sites. Injuries and deaths have been reported across several areas. A 6 pm - 8 am curfew has been imposed in Homs and 'combing operations' have been announced.

The protests erupted after a video circulated online showing the burning of the Alawite shrine of Abu Abdullah al-Hussein Bin Hamdan al-Khuseibi in Aleppo, and the execution of 5 civilians.

Authorities claim the video is old and that the perpetrators will be held accountable. The date can't be verified, but it appears to have taken place in the first days of HTS' offensive.
