Юбилей сегодня Стеклова. Его автобиография (только в таком виде нашёл в интернете, выше прикрепляю в djvu для тех, кто умеет)— лучшая биография из математиков, каких я видел.
Там и любовная линия, и довольно трезвые рассуждения обо всём на свете (рецепт по совмещению административной и научной деятельности). И жизнь у него очень интересная. И написано классно. Если хотите прочесть что-то одно по истории математики и началу 20го века, то читайте именно его автобиографию, всё остальное — на порядок хуже. Ну разве что Eric Bell, но он про всё сразу на свете.
