Министр обороны России совместно с членами делегации возложил цветы к Монументу Освобождения в Пхеньяне. Памятник возвели 15 августа 1946 года в знак благодарности корейского народа. Высота обелиска - 30 метров, он представляет собой гранитную стелу, увенчанную красной звездой.
Объект располагается на одной из самых высоких сопок — горе Моранбон. Именно с нее открывается панорамный вид на столицу.
