На моей памяти, масштабные протесты в Сербии впервые поддержало так много известных личностей и патриотических организаций.

В частности, протесты поддержали теннисист Новак Джокович, актер Милош Бикович, режиссер Эмир Кустурица, баскетболисты Богдан Богданович, Марко Гудурич, Алекса Аврамович, певица Даница Црногорчевич, ветераны боевых действий, а также ряд других известных спортсменов, ведущих, журналистов, деятелей искусства и тд.

Перечисленные выше люди явно не те, кого можно заподозрить в работе на западные спецслужбы и в ущерб государству и народу. А после того, как на одну из протестующих (20-летнюю студентку) наехала машина, включился даже Патриарх Сербский Порфирий, который посетил ее в больнице и выразил надежду, что все виновные в трагедии в Нови-Саде понесут заслуженное наказание.

Все это лишь дало людям дополнительный импульс и способствовало увеличению числа протестующих, ведь авторитет среди населения у вышеперечисленных гораздо выше, чем у политиков (вне зависимости от партии).

Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. The message was not authentic, with the real Zelenskiy soon denying the claim on his official Telegram channel, but the incident highlighted a major problem: disinformation quickly spreads unchecked on the encrypted app. Crude oil prices edged higher after tumbling on Thursday, when U.S. West Texas intermediate slid back below $110 per barrel after topping as much as $130 a barrel in recent sessions. Still, gas prices at the pump rose to fresh highs. At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores.
