Сегодня беларуское правозащитное сообщество признало политзаключенными на Брестчине: ▪️Гнездилов Кирилл Викторович (СИЗО-7) — брестчанин. Бывший работник милиции, оперуполномоченный, уволился в августе 2020. Последние полгода до задержания работал в Польше, приезжал навещать на выходные сына и жену в Брест. 19 февраля 2023 был задержан при пересечении польско-беларуской границы, помещен до суда под стражу. Были предъявлены обвинения в том, что передал в ЧКБ данные нескольких силовиков. Приговорен к 8 годам колонии.
Также политзаключенными в стране признаны: ▪️Беленович Максим (ИК-22) ▪️Галуза Александр (СИЗО-3) ▪️Леонович Александр (СИЗО-1) ▪️Прудников Антон (ИК-15) ▪️Романовский Валерий ▪️Соколенко Алла (СИЗО-1) ▪️Соколовский Александр ▪️Христофоров Игорь

Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. "The inflation fire was already hot and now with war-driven inflation added to the mix, it will grow even hotter, setting off a scramble by the world’s central banks to pull back their stimulus earlier than expected," Chris Rupkey, chief economist at FWDBONDS, wrote in an email. "A spike in inflation rates has preceded economic recessions historically and this time prices have soared to levels that once again pose a threat to growth." But the Ukraine Crisis Media Center's Tsekhanovska points out that communications are often down in zones most affected by the war, making this sort of cross-referencing a luxury many cannot afford.
