Румынский дуэт Makunouchi Bento уже многие годы работает в различных экспериментальных электронных жанрах с DIY-подходом: так, все их записи доступны для бесплатного скачивания. Один из предметов интереса музыкантов - призраки культуры, и особенно ярко это увлечение проявилось на совместном с проектом Silent Strike альбоме с говорящим названием "Ghostophonia".
Исходным материалом для этой работы послужили полевые записи, сделанные Белой Бартоком в румынской глубинке на восковых цилиндрах. Народные песни, спустя сотню лет пробивающиеся сквозь шумы и помехи к современному слушателю - прекрасная идея для хонтологического альбома. Однако это - только отправная точка. Музыканты основательно препарируют записи Бартока: в дело вступают модульные синтезаторы, деревянные духовые, орган, клавесин, природные звуки. Фолк-песни соседствуют с мрачными кинематографическими мелодиями и электронными шумами. В итоге получается причудливая, богатая на детали электроакустическая музыка с очень тревожным настроением.
