«Бескрайний бассейн» хочется и похвалить, и поругать, поэтому я сначала его поругаю, а потом похвалю. По сравнению с «Possessor» то ли стало более заметно, что таланта вагон, а мастерства еще не очень хватает, то ли сам сюжет послабее: пара возможных линий, развития которых мне бы хотелось, повисли в воздухе. Звать на роль психопатки Мию Гот, которая и так главная психопатка современного кино (мы помним «Х» и «Пэрл»), выглядит попыткой чуть схалтурить. За Александром Скарсгаардом я каких-то особенных актерских усилий не заметила, зато заметила, что с годами он все больше становится похож на батю Стеллана.
С другой стороны, если бы это был не Кроненберг-младший, я бы сказала, что кино отличное. Просто про Брэндона мне уже известно, что он может, и он меня не удивил. А так-то молодец конечно. И Мия Гот тоже молодец.
