Во время облета территории он осмотрел состояние рек Жайык и Жем, где сейчас наблюдается половодье. Для снижения притока воды в Жем, спасатели совершили три подрыва дельты реки и искусственных плотин, расположенных вдоль нее.

Угрозу подтопления удалось снять в селах Миялы, Аккора, Жангельдино, Жаскайрат и Коздикара. Всего из региона эвакуировали 28 551 человека.
