По официальной статистике, 6664 человека когда-либо были на Эвересте. Ожидаемо, порядка четверти от этого числа (1856 человек) - жители Непала. Ещё 783 человека - американцы, по 544 с лишним происходят из Индии и Китая.
Из числа россиян на Эвересте побывало 192 человека - и это много, один из самых высоких показателей в мире (помимо уже означенных лидеров, нас опередили только Великобритания и Япония).
