Вторая очередь проекта, который называют крупнейшим в мире, как ожидается, позволит этой электростанции достичь самой большой мощности в мире и самого высокого уровня эффективности производства электроэнергии.
Проект по расширению предполагает строительство двух накопителей энергии сжатого воздуха мощностью 350 МВт без дожигания топлива, общим объемом 1,2 млн кубометров.
