В качестве наказания для рецидивистов в этом преступлении российскими законами предусмотрена конфискация транспортного средства в доход государства. Хитрый хабаровчанин в надежде скрыть от властей кроссовер продал его, и машина уже была зарегистрирована на другого собственника.
Суд приговорил виновного к 200 часам обязательных работ, с лишением права заниматься деятельностью, связанной с управлением транспортными средствами, на 1 год и 6 месяцев. Учитывая, что автомобиль «Тойота Харриер» находится в собственности третьего лица, суд решил взыскать с его бывшего хозяина в доход государства стоимость проданного транспортного средства в размере 2,6 млн рублей.
