Wood heating is carbon neutral y'all, at least the way I do it. This is pretty much all well-seasoned softwoods that fell across roads or were cleared by firefighters and otherwise destined for mulching.
It's also really cozy to make breakfast on. It started at 40F in the living room but the heat is extreme directly in front of it. I'm only wearing an apron and right now I'm trying not to sweat 😅
