Основатель Continental Resources и крупный спонсор предвыборной кампании Дональда Трампа заявил в интервью Financial Times, что Россия была тяжелым местом для работы на протяжении десятилетий и что он благодарен за то, что не последовал за другими, кто вложил деньги в третью по величине нефтедобывающую страну мира.
«Многие люди потеряли там кучу денег. Думаю, они не захотят туда возвращаться. Время от времени там наступает мир, но не очень часто», – сказал Хэмм в интервью.
Американские нефтедобывающие компании будут долго думать, прежде чем инвестировать после заключения любого мирного соглашения, из-за геополитических рисков и возможностей в других странах.

The next bit isn’t clear, but Durov reportedly claimed that his resignation, dated March 21st, was an April Fools’ prank. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych.
