Неочевидно, кто захочет занять пост мэра Томска, поскольку это исторически крайне токсичная должность. Достаточно вспомнить тюремный срок Александра Макарова (мэр с 1996 по 2006), уголовное дело против Николая Николайчука (2007-2013), а также уголовное дело в отношении Ивана Кляйна, который руководил городом с 2013 по 2022 годы. Де-факто последние три мэра Томска (не считая тех, кто занимал должность как и.о.) рано или поздно становились фигурантами уголовных дел; 4) Влияние на сибирскую политику. Отмена прямых выборов мэра Томска может спровоцировать возобновление дискуссии по этой теме в соседнем Новосибирске или Абакане.

"This war in Ukraine is going to give the Fed the ammunition, the cover that it needs, to not raise interest rates too quickly. And I think Jay Powell is a very tepid sort of inflation fighter and he's not going to do as much as he needs to do to get that under control. And this seems like an excuse to kick the can further down the road still and not do too much too soon."
