The Cockpit- 7 St Andrew's Hill, #CityofLondon, #London, #EC4V
We visited one of #Londons' finest to discuss its historic and current brilliance. Many times have we covered pubs that are long gone or pubs that mightn’t have long to live. But every now and then, we cover pubs that you're able to add to your own repertoire. Many pubs that still look gorgeous from the outside have gutted their interior to better suit modernistic standards. The cockpit, however, has maintained its brilliance inside and out. We hugely appreciate those who watch and share our content, as well as those who frequent the pubs we mention. We hope you'll continue to do. If not with the public, be sure to share this pub and others with friends in the hope that pub and culture lovers find us and our journey.

The news also helped traders look past another report showing decades-high inflation and shake off some of the volatility from recent sessions. The Bureau of Labor Statistics' February Consumer Price Index (CPI) this week showed another surge in prices even before Russia escalated its attacks in Ukraine. The headline CPI — soaring 7.9% over last year — underscored the sticky inflationary pressures reverberating across the U.S. economy, with everything from groceries to rents and airline fares getting more expensive for everyday consumers. Official government accounts have also spread fake fact checks. An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. Unlike Silicon Valley giants such as Facebook and Twitter, which run very public anti-disinformation programs, Brooking said: "Telegram is famously lax or absent in its content moderation policy." Although some channels have been removed, the curation process is considered opaque and insufficient by analysts. "There are several million Russians who can lift their head up from propaganda and try to look for other sources, and I'd say that most look for it on Telegram," he said.
