As I mentioned last week, these resolutions set an even higher bar for us, including new compliance obligations for our Firm that we can and must meet. They give us an opportunity to prove that we have changed, that our changes are working and that we will continue to seek ways to improve.
All of us are the standard-bearers of our professional integrity. We have seen how decisions taken by a small group of colleagues or the actions of just one impact us all. We are one Firm. Missteps can have far-reaching consequences, and we all bear responsibility for one another’s actions. The behavior of each of us — regardless of role, tenure or path — matters, and everyone must understand our commitments and live into them without fail. We risk serious harm to our Firm and potential liability to ourselves if we do not uphold our new obligations. Each of us must speak up when we have a concern or see something that doesn’t live up to our standards — or doesn’t feel right. We can’t let each other, our clients, our communities or our Firm down.
Moving our Firm forward starts with being open about our past and committed to the changes we have made. We should be proud of where we are today and have the confidence to talk about it. Writing the first chapter of our second century requires us to continue upholding our reputation for ‘setting the standard’ and delivering truly distinctive impact as partners to our clients.

Under the Sebi Act, the regulator has the power to carry out search and seizure of books, registers, documents including electronics and digital devices from any person associated with the securities market. The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. Again, in contrast to Facebook, Google and Twitter, Telegram's founder Pavel Durov runs his company in relative secrecy from Dubai. It is unclear who runs the account, although Russia's official Ministry of Foreign Affairs Twitter account promoted the Telegram channel on Saturday and claimed it was operated by "a group of experts & journalists." To that end, when files are actively downloading, a new icon now appears in the Search bar that users can tap to view and manage downloads, pause and resume all downloads or just individual items, and select one to increase its priority or view it in a chat.
