«خلاصه جمعه گریه کردم... آن وقت بود که یک‌دفعه به یاد تو افتادم. نه، بهتر بگویم، من همیشه به یادت هستم. یکهو احساس کردم که همین الآن باید تو را ببینم و چون میدانستم امکان ندارد، آن‌قدر گریستم که خواهرم و مادرم که اخیراً به تهران آمدهاند به گریه افتادند و متوحش شدند. اما من به آن‌ها چه بگویم؟ بگویم من فاتحی را میخواهم که مرده است و نجفی را میخواهم که دریاها و شهرها از من دور است؟
بعد نشستم بیست صفحه کاغذ برایت نوشتم و دست آخر هم رفتم بیرون، همینطور خالی یا پر و همینطور تنها.
