وَ قَالَ عليه‌السلام: مَثَلُ اَلدُّنْيَا كَمَثَلِ اَلْحَيَّةِ لَيِّنٌ مَسُّهَا وَ اَلسُّمُّ اَلنَّاقِعُ فِي جَوْفِهَا يَهْوِي إِلَيْهَا اَلْغِرُّ اَلْجَاهِلُ وَ يَحْذَرُهَا ذُو اَللُّبِّ اَلْعَاقِلُ. و درود خدا بر او، فرمود: دنياى حرام چون مار سمّى است، پوست آن نرم ولى سمّ كشنده در درون دارد، نادان فريب خورده به آن مى‌گرايد، و هوشمند عاقل از آن دورى گزيند.
