По оценке S&P Global Platts, дисконт сорта Western Canadian Select к сорту WTI в ноябре 2023 г. составлял $25,4 за баррель, а в апреле 2024 г. – $12,7 за баррель.
Расширение географии экспорта приведет к росту конкуренции среди производителей нефти с высоким содержанием серы: по оценке S&P Global Platts, сорт Western Canadian Select по содержанию серы (3,6%) и плотности (21,8 API) близок к иракскому Basrah Medium (3%; 27,9 API), саудовскому Arab Heavy (2,75%; 27,8 API) и венесуэльскому Merey 16 (3,4%; 16 API).
Для сравнения: содержание серы в североморском сорте Brent составляет 0,4%, а плотность – 37,5 API (чем ниже плотность, тем выше число API).

Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. In this regard, Sebi collaborated with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to reduce the vulnerability of the securities market to manipulation through misuse of mass communication medium like bulk SMS. Channels are not fully encrypted, end-to-end. All communications on a Telegram channel can be seen by anyone on the channel and are also visible to Telegram. Telegram may be asked by a government to hand over the communications from a channel. Telegram has a history of standing up to Russian government requests for data, but how comfortable you are relying on that history to predict future behavior is up to you. Because Telegram has this data, it may also be stolen by hackers or leaked by an internal employee. What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. As such, the SC would like to remind investors to always exercise caution when evaluating investment opportunities, especially those promising unrealistically high returns with little or no risk. Investors should also never deposit money into someone’s personal bank account if instructed.
