We are back with another note on Kostamus authored together with Mikhail Arkhipov. As Mikhail is continuing his forays into what is a true modernist gem of this Karelian town, the Druzhba Cultural Center, to officially photograph its interiors and is badgering the authorities with requests for information, let us wish him good luck in his struggles and take a look at the outpatient medical center and Kostamus's first shopping mall in the meantime.

The outpatient medical center was opened on June 14th, 1984 and was intended to manage a caseload of 600 patients per shift. Medical equipment was provided by Medicor, Hungary, while all of the furnishings were supplied by Finland as part of the contract with the USSR making the center a gesamtuknstwerk of the 1980s. Its orange furniture, which has survived over 40 years in use, is something that sets this medical center apart from similar institutions elsewhere. By the way, the entrance also remains almost intact, but for its sides, which, sadly, have been covered with vinyl siding.

Andrey, a Russian entrepreneur living in Brazil who, fearing retaliation, asked that NPR not use his last name, said Telegram has become one of the few places Russians can access independent news about the war. Telegram Messenger Blocks Navalny Bot During Russian Election Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. Standard conversations use the MTProto method, enabling server-client encryption but with them stored on the server for ease-of-access. This makes using Telegram across multiple devices simple, but also means that the regular Telegram chats you’re having with folks are not as secure as you may believe. After fleeing Russia, the brothers founded Telegram as a way to communicate outside the Kremlin's orbit. They now run it from Dubai, and Pavel Durov says it has more than 500 million monthly active users. But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website.
