Кто-то (возможно, многие), как поётся в этой песне, встречают этот новый год, как бы стоя на пепле их прошлых жизней. Но нужно не сдаваться и верить в более свободное, спокойное, счастливое будущее. Потому что иначе что? Только ложиться и помирать (не надо так).
