Нынешнее название остановка получила в 2002 году. В это время на улице Куйбышева, 48 находился городской музей «Искусство Омска». С 2017 года учреждение находится в Омской крепости.
Кроме предложенных вариантов — «Улица Куйбышева» и «Детская городская поликлиника № 8», — омичи могут поделиться своим вариантом названия. Итоги опроса направят в администрацию Центрального округа для представления на заседании топонимической комиссии.
